HELEN M. SMITH

Helen M. Smith, formerly of Trucksille, died Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in the Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Vanderhoof Kratz, was a former member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville and loved to cook and play Bingo.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Clement J. Smith, Sr.; daughter, Joan Zimmerman; and siblings, Barbara, Elizabeth, Katherine and Thomas.

She is survived by by her loving children, Helen (Robert) Stitzer, Forty Fort; Frances Rosencrans and her companion James Oko, Sr. Mountain Top; Clement J. Smith, Jr, Swoyersville; Daniel E. Smith, Ashley; Mary Temarantz, Ormond Beach, FL; James T. Smith, Shavertown; Diane (Jeff) Yaglowski, Elizabeth City, NC; Robert (Molly) Smith, Mountain Top; 19 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Jack Kratz; Charles Kratz; Thelma Melovitz and Judy Wolfe.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville with Reverend Gerald Gurka officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lake St. Dallas.

Friends may call on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home and from 9:30 am until time of service on Friday.
