VERONICA SADOWSKI

Heaven gained a Beautiful Angel. Veronica Sadowski, 97, of Pringle, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, with family by her side.

Born in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica Prwara Walko and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.  Veronica loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.  She enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino; watching Golden Girls and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed the company of many patrons at the family Tavern, Sadowski's Cafe in Pringle and her favorite color was Purple.  

Veronica was preceded, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Stanley Sadowski; siblings, Dolores Ambrose, Joseph Walko, Bernadette Walko and Theresa Oplinger.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bernice Nice of Pringle, Judith Burke of Sweet Valley, Linda Urbanski of Kingston; grandchildren Leonard Burke Jr., Catherine Golightley, Stephanie McManus, Christina Gustin, Michael Nice, Jennifer Fedor, Jason Urbanski, Jeffrey Urbanski, Brian Nice; numerous great and great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother, James Walko of White Haven and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 12:30 pm from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the funeral home.
