THOMAS KELLY

Thomas G. Kelly, 85, of Edwardsville, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 in Allied Services Hospice, Wilkes-Barre. 

Thomas was born July 6, 1938.  He was the youngest child of the late Charles and Mary Allen Kelly of Larksville.   He was a graduate of Larksville High School class of 1956.  Immediately after high school Tom enlisted in the U. S. Navy.  He was assigned to the USS Fred T. Berry serving with the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean Sea having worked with sonar.  After being honorably discharged and prior to his retirement Tom was employed by the West Side Area Vocational Technical School in the maintenance department.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers Charles and William Kelly and by sisters Rosemary DiTaranto, Sr. Esther M. Kelly, Maryknoll Missionary and Margaret Ann (Peggy) Zugarek.

Surviving is his sister Joan M. Stout, Thousand Oaks, CA, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville, PA. 

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Pringle, Pa.
