Obituary

Ruth Ann Wanyo Telnock, 84, of Shawnee Avenue, Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 12, 2023, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

 

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Ann Chackan Wanyo and was employed by Rifkin in the Quality Control Department.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George, brothers, Andrew, Stephen, John Wayno; sisters, Mary Belinka, Josephine Meletsky, Tillie Costa, Theresa Seman and Helen Keene.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Diana Jimison; son, Ray (Stacie) Telnock of New Milford and grandchildren, Brodie Telnock, Jonelle Rowan and Lauren Jimison; and many nieces and nephews.

 

Ruth loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also never turned down a game night  or an opportunity to gather with the family. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses at General Hospital who cared for Ruth, especially to Bobbi for her helpfulness and words of encouragement.

Memorial service and visitation will be conducted ON A DAY AND TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville. Interment will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery, Lehman.
