RONALD SMITH Obituary

Ronald J. Smith, of Lee Park section of Hanover Township, died at home, Friday, October 2, 2020.

 

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Theodore S. and Anna D. Cooper Smith and was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School.  Ron was a dedicated employee for Kleen Keeper in Plains for many years and previously worked at Carter Rubber Footwear.  He enjoyed watching football and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.  He loved watching antique car shows and NASCAR races.  Ron enjoyed the company of his neighbors, especially Rosie, always lending a hand or offering a ride.

 

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brothers, Theodore (Teddy) Smith and infant brother, Joseph Smith.

 

He is survived by his son Dylan Tinney of Colorado; his sisters, Patricia Dorrance of New Hope, PA; Marilyn (Joseph) Wallace of Nanticoke; Mary Jo Haughwout of Larksville; brother, Robert Smith of Sevierville, TN; nieces and nephews.  Ron will be especially missed by his cat, KIT, who he rescued.

 

Private family viewing and funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville.
