PAUL NORDSTROM

Paul Edmond Nordstrom, 71, of Edwardsville, PA was called home Sunday, February 16, 2020.

He was born on December 23, 1948 in Detroit, MI. He proudly and bravely served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. During his time in service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, along with several other citations and awards. For the rest of his days, he proudly flew the Stars and Stripes whenever possible.

He worked as a mechanic nearly his entire life, fixing virtually anything with wheels, from roller skates to massive construction equipment. He loved motorcycles, guitars, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth Ida Nordstrom and Vincent Nordstrom, his brother, Victor Gordon, his wife Kathryn Reed Nordstrom and daughter Sara Robertson.

He is survived by his siblings: brother Larry Nordstrom and wife Cristy of Troy, MI and sister Nancy Nordstrom Hooten of Clinton Township, MI; his children: Laraine Richardson of Pollok, TX; Krysmon Richardson and husband Thomas of Wylie, TX; Erik Nordstrom and wife Julie of Dallas, TX; Lisa Cartner and husband Michael of Dallas, TX; Leanne Burk and husband Heath of Colorado Springs, CO; and Catherine Nordstorm of Mabank, TX, along with 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends across the country, including Marcus.

He will be laid to rest at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway in Dallas, Texas on a date to be announced.

Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 3:00 pm at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville with a visitation from 2:00 pm until time of service.
