NICHOLAS KULIKOWICH Obituary

Nicholas Kulikowich, 89, of Courtdale, fulfilled his earthly journey.

Born May 28, 1928 in Hilldale, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Berasley Kulikowich. He was a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an avid baker, gardener, singer, writer, and sports fan, but his greatest joy in life was his family. He was employed at the Blue Ribbon Bakery where he met his best friend and beloved wife of nearly 65 years, Blanche (Lach) Kulikowich. Together, they raised three daughters, Christine (William) Sickler, Cynthia (Michael) Solensky, and Blanche (Ryan) Breznak who were their entire world. They were further blessed with five grandchildren Christina, Jocelyn, Nicholas, Abigail, and Ty. He is survived by his brother Michael “Barney” Kulikowich who was always by his side. He had an African Grey Parrot named Leo whom he treated as another child. Nicholas took pride in everything he was involved in from construction, landscaping, and the VFW. His life goal was to instill the values of hard work, generosity, compassion, and love in everyone that he met. He took pride in knowing that a little bit of kindness can change someone for the better and he shared this daily. He never stopped seeing the good in the world and taught others to view life this way.

He was preceded in death by his brother Alexander, sisters Stella Vozniak, Marie Zingaretti, and Olga “Peggy” Surdouski.
