MARIE KERECHANIN

Marie J. Kerechanin, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday evening, March 25, 2022 in Wesley Village.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine Kalinski Morris; was a graduate of Ashley High School.  Marie worked from the VA Hospital, in the Dietary Department and was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Wilkes-Barre. Marie loved spending time with family, traveling and shopping.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Andrew Kerechanin and brother, Peter "Butch" Morris, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Linda King of Harveys Lake; Andrew Kerechanin Jr. of Plymouth; grandchildren, Crystal (Kevin) Seidel of Wyoming; Daniel King of Harveys Lake; Dr. Jeffrey King of Dallas, TX; great grandchildren, Kevin Seidel, Jr.; Hayden Seidel; siblings, John Morris; Elaine Urban and Carol Arnold.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 9:15 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Parish Church, Barney St. Wilkes-Barre.  Interment will St. Marys Cemetery, Dallas.

Friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm and Friday morning from 8:45 am until time of service.
