JOSEPH SEARLES

Joseph M. Searles, of Luzerne, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in WB, he was the son of the late Willard Searles and Lillian Barasha. Joe attended Coughlin HS and worked 25 years for Muskin Pools and other jobs thereafter. Joe loved to watch his Green Bay Packers and his Los Angeles Dodgers. One of a kind, he will never be forgotten.

Joe is survived by his fiancee Maureen Schoonover, her son James Schoonover, who he always liked to make football bets with; and his daughter, Kylie Angelina Schoonover, who Joe adored and called her his chop chop and she called him big bear. He is also survived by Maureens brother, Brian Sendrick, who Joe liked to invite to dinner; his uncle Joseph B, who he adored and many aunts and cousins.

Blessing service will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 10:30 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township next to his mom.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
