JOSEPH AYERS Obituary

 

Joseph M. Ayers, 51, of Scranton, formerly of Harveys Lake, died Sunday, August 4, 2019, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.


Born in  Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late William and Shirley Patton Ayers; was a welder working as a boilermaker for Boilersmaker Union 113 and was an avid New York Giants Fan.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlene Ayers; Rae Ayers and Cindy Ayers.


He is survived by daughter, Tehya Turner of Earlton; brothers, Dan Ayers and his wife, Lori of Harveys Lake; Bill Ayers and his wife Brenda of Falls; Todd Ayers and his wife Kim of Sweet Valley; Jack Ayers of Beaumont; sisters, Kelly Johnson and her husband, Marc of Benton; Holly Malinowski and her husband Rich of Hunlock Creek and many nieces and nephews.


Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, August 18, 2019, at 12:30 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville.


Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation will be from 10:30 am until time of service.
