JOHN WATKINS

John F. Watkins, Sr., 89, of Larksville, died at home on Monday, June 21, 2021 with family by his side.

Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Robert and Bertha Cochran Watkins. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War and enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and watching his favorite football teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria in 2009, granddaughter, Ashley and by several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children: Linda Judge of Warrior Run; Lorraine (Donald) Harris of Lehman and John Watkins, Jr. of Larksville; grandchildren: Jennifer, David, Amanda, Matthew, BJ, Cody, Zachery, Rachael, John, Patrick and Amber; great grandchildren: Addison, Micha, Rylan, Julian, Ruby, Jenson and Jack; brother: William Watkins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 6:00 pm at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville.

Friends are invited to join the family from 4:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association and SPCA.
