Harriet Bronsburg (Sheerin), 84, of Shavertown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center surrounded by family.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Marion Lemmon Sheerin and was a graduate of Kingston High School. Harriet worked at Schwartz and Haggerty Food Brokerage, Corstate Bank, First Union Bank, Wachovia Bank, and lastly as a bank teller for Wells Fargo Bank. She was also a long-time employee of Weight Watchers in Wilkes Barre. Harriet was of the Roman Catholic faith and was a member of Saint Therese’s Parish, Shavertown. She enjoyed spending time with family and all her pets.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of The Gardens at East Mountain and Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital for the compassionate care shown to Harriet during her illness.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Bronsburg and sisters, Marilyn and her husband Ben, Nancy and her husband Steve.
Surviving are her three sons: Bruce Bronsburg and Lori of Larksville, David Bronsburg of Chattanooga, TN, and Ronald Bronsburg and wife Lourene of Bear Creek; seven grandchildren: Bruce Bronsburg Jr. of Edwardsville, David Bronsburg of Plymouth, Deanna Appleton and husband Richard of Richmond Hill, GA, Deric Bronsburg of Wilkes Barre, Marcy Stair and husband Dean of Hunlock Creek, Tabitha Mentz and Husband Eugene of Dunmore, Tracy Bronsburg and companion Jason of Kingston; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 29, 2023 at 9:45 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Therese's Church, Shavertown. Interment to follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 612 Mount Olivet Road Wyoming, PA.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Friday morning from 9:15 am until time of service.
