Edward V. Mrochko, Jr. of Jackson Township, died on Friday, July 15, 2022, in Kingston Manor.
Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late Edward V. Sr and Veronica Arabinick Mrochko and was a graduate of Larksville High School. Ed founded EM Auto Body in Swoyersville, owning and operating it for many years. He worked alongside his son, Ed, who eventually took over the shop. He enjoyed gardening, swimming and spending time with friends telling stories of the past and solving the problems of the world. Ed loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he taught all to swim. He was a member of the former St. Anthony's Church, Larksville and Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Thomas Mrochko.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 72 years, Bernadine Cheskiewicz Mrochko; children, Bernadine Gibson of Ashley; Sandra (Mark) Kalish of Shavertown, Christine May of Hunlock Creek, Edward (Lori) Mrochko of Sweet Valley; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Laureen Sabol of Larksville and Joan Zielinski of York; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
