EDWARD KRYSTOFOSKY

Edward J. Krystofosky passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 89.

Ed was born in Larksville, Pennsylvania where he graduated from Larksville, H.S. in 1950. He
served in the Navy where he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal. He married his high school sweetheart, Theresa Bondzinski and enjoyed a wonderful 32 years together until Theresa passed away in 1988.

Ed successfully started and operated a soft ice cream business and a barber shop and was the Larksville tax collector. He had many friends in the community and was well known as “Eddie the Barber”. Ed and Theresa enjoyed raising their 2 children, Diane and Ed Jr., and were active members of St. Johns Parish. Ed was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member and enjoyed spending time with his friends playing golf, cards and bowling. He spent many weekends with friends and family driving to State College and cheering on the Nittany Lions.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother Leonard Krystofosky and longtime companion Lillian Bogdon.

Ed is survived by his son, Ed Krystofosky Jr. and wife Janine of Larksville, and his daughter, Diane King and her husband Mike, his grandson Ryan King and wife Lauren, his son Tanner King and wife Katrina, and his 2 great granddaughters, Camille and Clara, who reside in Texas. Ed is also survived his sister, Constance Schuster, of Wilkes Barre.

The visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at St. Johns Church in Larksville, PA. The viewing will start at 11:30am, followed by the funeral mass at 12:30pm. The burial service will take place at St. Johns Cemetery after the mass.
