Obituary

Doris Amos, 88, formerly of Larksville, died on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

 

Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Shoplack Lukachik and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School. Doris was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Edwardsville and was a regional secretary for Nationwide Insurance prior to retirement.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, William J. Amos and four sisters, Tillie Radsavitch, Betty Morgans, Dorothy Roberts and Marian Koval.

 

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 93 Zerby Ave. Edwardsville with Father Michael Evans officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Pringle.

 

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until time of service at the church.

 

Arrangements under the direction of the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville.
