DIANA R. AARON

Diana Ruth Peters Aaron, of Shavertown, formerly of Courtdale, died on Monday, November 1, 2021, in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Floyd B. and Cletus Knipple Peters and was a graduate of Luzerne High School, Class of 1961.  Diana worked for Target, Ames and Hills, and was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed playing Bingo, an occasional trip to the casino and spending time with her family. She was an avid New York Mets Fan and was a Daughter of the American Republic. She enjoyed coaching in her girls softball teams

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by two brothers, Floyd and David Peters.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Mary Kate) Aaron of Lehighton; Patricia (James) Misiura of Childs, PA; Christine (Stephen) Krzanowski of Centermoreland; Catherine (Brian) Wolfe of Kingston; Rebecca (Roberto Nunez) Roper of Winter Springs, FL; Heather (Richard) Mosley of Wyoming; Jennifer (Gerald) Matukaitis of Shavertown; 13 grandchildren, Milo, Nicholas and Robert Reilly, Emily Miller, Brain Jr. and Jacob Wolfe, Julie, Michael and Alex Roper, Elizabeth and Matthew Mosley; Sarah Aaron, Emma Matukaitis; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Claire Reilly; father of her children Robert Aaron; siblings, William Peters of GA; Marjorie Knorr of Larksville; Gail Myers of Plains; Clifford Peters of Hanover Township; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11:00 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding.

Friends are invited to join the family from 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
