Obituary
Christine Augustinski, 95, formerly of Larksville, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 in Wesley Village, Pittston.
Born in Larksville, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Chergo Nice and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School, Class of 1945. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville; a former member of St. Anthony's Church and was a huge Elvis Fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her loving husband, John J. Augustinski; brothers, George Nice, Jr., Paul Nice, Joseph Nice and sisters, Mary Barto and Betty Timalonis.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Andrea (Daniel) Alexander of Las Vegas, NV, son, John (Leigh) Augustinski of Greeley, PA; two grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Keener of Trucksville and John (Shelly) Augustinski III of West Wyoming; two great grandchildren, Katelynn Augustinski and Abbey Keener and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville, with Reverend Gerald Gurka officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale.
Arrangements under the direction of the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, Larksville.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wesley Village.
