CATHERINE ORRSON

Catherine Orrson, 84, of Kingston, passed peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

Born locally, on June 29th, 1938, she was the wife of the late Joseph Orrson for over 50 years, and the daughter of the late George Patterson and Florence Patterson-Sims. Cathy was an avid seamstress, and later worked proudly as the manager in the Laundry Department of the River Run Nursing Home. She was a devoted member of St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Edwardsville, and member of the Women’s Society for over 60 years. She loved being a part of the community. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Kubicki and Margaret Cummins, and brother, Homer P. Patterson. 

Left to cherish her memory are her sons David, and wife Michele, from Moscow, Jeffrey from Luzerne, Gregory, and wife Anita, from Mountaintop, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Sunday January 8th, from 3pm to 6pm at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home at 11 Wilson Street, Larksville, PA and Monday morning from 8:45 am until time of service.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 9th, at 9:15 am from the funeral home with a Mass at SS. Peter and Paul’s Ukrainian Church at 20 Nottingham Street, Plymouth, PA Mass at 10:00 am followed by interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Stroke Association or Allied Services in memory of Catherine.
