CARL J. SHYMANSKI

Carl J. Shymanski, of Larksville, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Hazleton Campus.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Carl Shymanski and Gloria Bassler Shymanski of Florida and was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School. Carl served his country proudly in the United States Navy and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He was employed as an electrician and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and fixing and building things. Carl was a handyman’s handyman, glad to help anyone with home repairs who always “forgot” to leave a bill for his services.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his nephews Brian and Michael Urban.

In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, is his loving wife, Nancy Coyne; son, Paul Shymanski and his wife, Lynn of Forty Fort; daughter Carla Yatsko and her husband, Robert of Harding; grandchildren, Aiden and Lily Shymanski and Abigail, Alyvia and Robbie Yatsko; sister, Gloria Urban and her husband, Clarence of FL, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10:30 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville with Reverend Gerald Gurka officiating.

Friends are invited to join the family on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville.
