ANTHONY J. KAMARUNAS

Anthony J. Kamarunas, 58, of Swoyersville, died on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Kingston Manor in Kingston, after bravely fighting cancer.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Anthony and Barbara Sokol Kamarunas and step-mother, Loretta Updyke Kamarunas. Tony was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and was most recently employed as a car salesman. He enjoyed going to antique car and model train shows, playing in his band, Polka Magic, watching sporting events, and meeting up with friends at local restaurants.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Medrano and husband, Jason, of Jefferson Township; Theresa Harris and husband, Richard, of Dallas; grandchildren, Jason Jr., Benjamin, Tyler, Paige and Austin; sister, Andrea Nunn and husband, Gary, of Columbus, Ohio; and many friends.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 6:00 pm from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 5:00 pm until time of service.
