Rosemary “Rhody” C. Richards, of Larksville, died Wednesday morning, August 2, 2017 at home with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late James and Helen Cross Wright and was a graduate of Larksville High School.  Rosemary was a long time member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville and enjoyed assisting at the Annual Church Festival.  Rhody was employed as a health care provider at the Leader East Nursing Home and Step by Step prior to retiring.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her grandson, Raymond Chewey.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, John Richards; children, Judy Briggs and her fiancee, Bob Spare, Harding; Helen Pace and her husband, Joe, Centermoreland; Carol Richards, Larksville; John Richards, Larksville; Dave Richard and his fiancee, Evis Palmer, Larksville; grandchildren, Joseph Pace (Angela); Erica Pace (Alex Welch); Erik Briggs (Emily Owens);Ty Pace; Jarod Briggs; John, Josh and James Richards; great grandchildren, Kyla Dougherty and Ainsley Pace; sisters, Nancy, Pat and Mickey, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 9:30 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt St. Larksville at 10:00 am.  Reverend Gerald Gurka will officiate.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, August 6, 2017 and on Monday from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
