Mary Anne Chavanic, 84, of Larksville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in River Street Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Matisko Edwards and was a graduate of Plymouth High School. Mary Anne was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville and was employed by The Hub and Bergmans Department Stores prior to retiring.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, John L. Chavanic and brothers, William and Jack Edwards.

Mary Anne is survived by three children, John Chavanic and his wife, Cindy, Walnutport; David Chavanic, Palmerton; Diane Wychock, Larksville; nine grandchildren, Johnny, Amy, Colin, Nina, David, Adam, Samantha, Chase, Alexis; 9 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 10:30 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church, 126 Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Reverend Gerald Gurka will officiate. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Shavertown.

Friends may call from 9:30 am until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the American Heart Association.
