Joseph J. Boyer, of Larksville, died Sunday, September 17, 2017 at home.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late John and Victoria Ripski Boyer and was a graduate of Larksville High School.  Joe served his country proudly in the United States Army as a tank crewman, was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal and was a member for Larksville American Legion. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church and Knights of Columbus 4th degree, Our Lady of Czestochowa Assembly 1928.  He enjoyed hunting and gardening and was an avid Eagles Fan.

Joe was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Larksville; son, John Boyer and his wife, Janel, Plymouth, granddaughter, Sarra Rosnick, great granddaughter, Persephone Rosnick and sister, Irene Boyer, Larksville.

Memorial service will be on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:00 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St. Larksville, with Reverend Gerry Gurka officiating.

Friends may call from 9 until time of service at the funeral home.
