Joseph A. Stash, formerly of Larksville, died Monday, May 22, 2017, in River St. Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late Michael and Catherine Yasenchak Stash and was a graduate of Larksville High School. He served in the United States Army and was employed as a Metal Fabricator at Pulvermans.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by brothers, Michael and Daniel Stash and sister, Catherine, sons, Joseph and Michael Stash and great grandson, Eoin Dwyer.

Joseph is survived by son, George Stash, Larksville; Anthony Stash, Plymouth; William Stash and his wife, Kathy, Plymouth; daughters, Anna Simmons and her husband, Ted, Pittston; Mary Pienta and her husband, Bryan, Plymouth and Catherine Moran and her husband, Jason, Shavertown; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral service will be on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Marys Byzantine Cemetery, Pringle with Reverend Prodanets.
