IRENE B. PARSONS

Irene B. Parsons, formerly of Edwardsville, died Monday, April 9, 2018, in Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Edwardsville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Kondrak Wilk and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School. Prior to retirement, she was a unit leader with the Social Security Administration at East Mountain. A woman devoted to her faith, Irene was a member of the former St. Anthony's Church and member of St. John the Baptist, Larksville. She enjoyed going to the Kingston Senior Citizens Group; picture puzzles and playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sisters, Mary Ann Popivchak and Margaret Dainowski.

Irene is survived by her brother, John Wilk, Clark Summit; sisters, Ann Wilk, Wilkes-Barre; Theresa Menik and her husband, Joseph, Edwardsville, niece and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 9:30 am from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville.

Friends and family may visit from 9:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
