FLORENCE M. STORZ, RN

Florence M. Storz, RN of Larksville, died peacefully at home late Saturday evening, May 18, 2019.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Martin S. and Viola Siemienowicz Nareski and was a graduate of Marymount High School, where she played Vinny in "Life with Father" when she was a senior.  She was also a graduate of College Misericordia, where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing Education.  A women of great faith, she was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville and was a registered nurse.  Florence loved watching the Saturday Night polkas on WVIA; never missed an episode of Days Of Our Lives and loved all the family cats, especially snickers, her favorite.

As a nurse Florence dedicated her life to taking care of others, whether it was her first job in nursing at the General Hospital, or taking care of many family members when they became very ill,..raising a family, and working for years doing Home Health, which she loved each and every visit with her patients.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, John and infant daughter, Esther.

Florence is survived by her son, John Storz of Green Lane; daughters, Monica Storz of Harleysville and Valerie Searfoss and her husband, John of Larksville.  She is also survived by one granddaughter, Grace Ann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 10:30 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt St. Larksville.  Reverend Gerald Gurka will officiate.  Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Dallas.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Mass of the church.
