Chester J. Koprowski, Jr. 74, of Sweet Valley, died Thursday morning, November 8, 2018, at home with family by his side.
Born in Swoyersville, he was the son of the late Chester and Ethel Mae Melody Koprowski and prior to retirement, was employed by American Asphalt and Mountain Stream Construction. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed riding his bicycle and listening to country music.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his granddaughter, Erica Koprowski.
Chester is survived by his loving wife, the former Linda Faye Lord; children, Benjamin (Dawn) Koprowski, Wilkes-Barre Township; Chet (Deb) Koprowski, Stroudsburg; Melinda “Mindi” Koprowski, Plains; Mark Koprowski, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren, Sabrina Koprowski, Wilkes-Barre Twp.; Aidan Koprowski, Stroudsburg; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Koprowski, West Nanticoke; sister, Dolly Glaush (Thomas Dougherty), Tunkhannock and many nieces, nephews, in laws and cousins.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville. Pastor Larry Reed, of Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, will officiate.
Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm and Saturday morning from 10:00 am until time of service.
