RITA D. KASCHAK

Rita D. Kaschak, 88, of the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in Celtic Hospice In Patient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Metsko Rish and was a packer at General Cigar prior to retiring. A very devoted and faithful Catholic, she was a member of the former St. Anthony's Church and St. John the Baptist Church, both of Larksville.

Rita was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by husband, Michael F. Kaschak; siblings, Stephen T. Rish, John P. Rish, Joseph F. Rish, Albert C. Rish, Catherine E. Kertulis, Anna D. Fedor, Mary A. Regelski, Edward R. Rish, Elmer D. Rish, Helen T. Frace and Ruth G. Korda.

She is survived by daughters, Nancy Rising and her husband, James, Dallas; Patricia Fedock and her husband, Michael, Shavertown; 3 grandchildren, James Rising and his wife, Melissa; Robert Rising and his wife, Stephanie, Shalousie Rising and her husband, Alan and one great grandson, Haven.

Funeral service will be conducted at 9:00 am, Saturday, September 24, 2016, from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Interment will follow in St. Stephens Cemetery, Jackson Township.

Friends are welcome from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the funeral home.
