Margaret M. Crossin, 90, of Courtdale, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2016, in Celtic In-Patient Unit, Wilkes-Barre, with family by her side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Ella Sweeney Hopkins and was a graduate of St. Marys High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Margaret was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston and was on Courtdale Borough Council for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, baking and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her beloved husband, Dr. James Crossin in 1981 and four brothers, Joseph, John, Robert and Edward Hopkins.
Margaret is survived by six daughters, Mary Ellen Crossin, Courtdale; Kathryn Crossin, Berwick; Patrice Malys and her husband, Kenny, Luzerne; Susan Lilly and her husband Steve, Pasadena, MD; Anne Vaccaro and her husband, Andrew, Montrose; Margaret P. Crossin, Courtdale; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be conducted at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson Street, Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am in St. Ignatius Church, 339 North Maple Ave., Kingston. Reverend John Chmil will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a viewing from 4 to 7 pm Monday, December 5, 2016 and from 9:30 am until time of service on Tuesday.
