Monica Hydock, 92, Larksville died peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the Timber Ridge Nursing Home.

Born March 6, 1925, in Larksville to the late Frank and Mary Bartosavage and was a graduate of Larksville High School. Her and her husband were originally from Wilkes-Barre ,where her and her husband owned and operated Park Ave. Cleaners. Prior to her retirement she also worked in many retail stores.

Preceded her in death, was her husband, Andrew Hydock and sister Elizabeth Janoski.

Surviving is her daughter, Judy Hayes and her husband, Joseph, Larksville; sisters, Dorothy Theriault, NJ, Mary Decker, Plains, grandchildren, Lisa Hunsinger and her husband, Daniel, Kingston; Patrick Hayes and his wife, Chrissy Hayes, Mountain Top; great grandchildren, Heather Hunsinger, Hanover Twp., Nicole Schappert and her husband, Devin, Swoyersville and Bailey, Madison and Patrick Jr., Mountain Top.

She was a woman of great faith, grace, elegance and kindness. She was a member of St. Anthony's/St. Johns Churches, Larksville.

She was a kind soul who never had a bad thing to say about anyone and would make sacrifices to help others in need.

She enjoyed to bake and cook, especially around the holidays, she liked old stories of yesterday, old movies, long rides in the car and mostly spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St Larksville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 pm in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt St. Larksville. Reverend Gerald Gurka will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthonys Cemetery, Courtdale.

Friends and relatives may visit on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
