John R. Stepanik, 83, of Dallas, died Monday morning, June 27, 2016, in the Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dallas.

Born in Larksville, he was the son of the late John and Victoria Yahara Stepanik and was a graduate of Larksville High School. John served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of Good Shepherd Polish National Church, Plymouth and was the Superintendent at the State Correctional Facility, Dallas. John was an avid outdoors man and love hunting and fishing.

John is survived by his loving wife, the former Jane McLaughlin, Dallas; daughter, Susan Miller and her husband, Paul, Laflin; son, John Stepanik, Dallas; 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Peter Malak; brother, Robert Stepanik, Larksville and sister, Maureen Magalski, Dallas.

Funeral Mass will be held, Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church, 269 E. Main Street, Plymouth, with Rev. Lucian Urbaniak officiating.

Interment will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Hanover Township.
